( Books I’ve read since last time I posted )
I’ve also read some short stories by Osamu Tezuka and some comics, but bookwise that’s the whole lot.

Ok, so, it's been now nearly half a year since DC decided to change all the Batuniverse completely and reshape it in a new, suposedly exciting, way. Yay... sigh.

( really long rant about spandex diggers under the cut. It's spoilery for sure. )
Anyways... So, I like what they are doing in the individual titles even if I don't like what they have done as a global event.
And I just wanted to rant about it and that's all. You don't have to read it all if you don't really care about superheroes.

Ok, film watched.
I, personally, find it's a good addition to the saga, and not only because Christian Bale is in it. I've enjoyed it, even if not as much as I enjoyed Star Trek. The story has a pair of nice touches, some hints for the fans and lots of evil robots, explosions and action. Loads and loads of action. Sometimes it felt like they dices were really good to them (come on, how many natural 20's do one need to come out alive in that bridge scene?), but all in all it was good action, as belivable as a war against evil robots can get.
Oh, and I've liked that John Connor is not the main character of the film, even if, as always, everything revolves around him (I mean, he is the key to the future, is he?).
But let's review. ( watch out for spoilers from here on )
Anyways, as I already said, film is ok. Way better than Terminator 3 and a good addition to the saga. I'm quite happy with the choice.

Ok.
Complete season watched and I have to admit that the season finale totally did it for me. I want to see a second season.
It was a complicated story to tell and Joss and company had 12 episodes (13 in fact, but Fox only aired 12. Whatever) so sometimes it felt that they just gave us nothing, and sometimes it felt just midly interesting. I didn't even liked the main character much. Up until today, that is. Still not my cup of Tea, but I don't hate her anymore. And the two "cops"... they are just cute toghether.
So, yeah, Joss did what he did with Buffy and even Angel. He introduced characters, gave them some eight episodes to make them look cute and more or less interesting, and then just changed completely what the story was about. Yeah. it still was a story about vampires and cheerleaders, but not the story you thought it was. And this is still a sci-fi story about an organisation that erases people's memories and changes them into whatever they need. But it's not just that. And it's just a tad more complicated.
I've liked some of the paths opened with this finale and I'm glad to know there'll be a second season, because I totally want to go into those recently opened doors.
Oh, and for the record... anything is just better with a bit of Alan Tudik.

You know, Comics used to be that nice place where the good won, no matter what, where evil was always overcomed even against the worst odds of all, and where people with cool powers fought each other for the craziest reasons.
Well, this december it feels like only one of these sentences is true.
In Morrisons F**cking Final Crisis (wich I'm not sure makes any sense at all) evil is suposed to be winning. Yeah, I know, things will turn out good an all, but still. I like evil to be rough and dificult to win, but I don't think I like what Morrison is doing. It doesn't feel right. Also, I'm not sure when it's supoosed to be happening. So, it's after RIP, or so its seems. OK... Yeah...
And Trinity? Even if I'm kind of liking the WTF feel of it? When the fuck is supposed to be happening?? DC tends to make little sense when timelines are involved, but that's just ridiculous.
But that's just the part that I really don't care much about. So, here come the spoilers.
( BEWARE )

This episode was quite ok too.
( Review! )
And that's all. It wasn't great, but it was ok. We'll see if changing writters does any good.
In other order of news... GAH! Thursday already?? What have they done to my week??

So, good episode this week. They seem to have thsi tendency. They do a good beggining, then they begin to write crap, tehn tehy stop for a break, then they do good things again, then they do crap...
well, like comic books! Perhaps they are trying to make a DCU-like thingie.
Anyway, let's review:
( holly flashback, Hiro! )
Just one more thing:

He DOES look good in a suit.
