Let's see if I finally tell a bit about it.
So, I left on sunday morning, while it rained, and rained, and rained, and rained. And when i got to banyoles it rained a little more. In fact, it was raining so much that at first I thought the trip had been a bad idea altoghether. But then I found the hostel (finally! Banyoles is bigger than i thought!! :P). I left my things in there and was nicely surprised by the cute little room they gave me.
After that I went to the darder Museum of natural histpry, where they have a creepy/cute exposition about natural history and science in the late XIX century's. Stuffed animals give me the creeps, but the expo is quite interesting. Then lunch, walking a lot through the medieval part of the town, lots of pictures at the lagoon (ducks!! and Ducklings!!!). Still, I was a little wary when night came. i was cold, wet, tired and a bit worried because if it insisted in raining I was going to have very little to do the following day.
But I had nothign to worry about. Monday was sunny and I could walk and walk and take more pretty pictures of the lake. I realized how much I had missed doing a little trekking from time to time. The mud in my boots, the sun on my face, the fresh smell of wet earth, the birds singing their love and mating songs... I had a magnificent morning. then in the afternoon, I walked a bit more for the modern part of the town and ended up watchign the sun go down in the lake. it was magical.
I think tha tif I lived there I'll try to go and watch the sun go down at least twice a week. I saw more ducklings (how cute!!) and then went to the hostel. I changed and went to the town to have dinner, and got a little bit drunk with a single beer (I was so tired...)
Anyway, on tuesday it rained again, but it didnt matter much, because I had thought to go and see the archeological museum. it's tiny and the most impresive part is the paleontology section. Still, I had fun, because there were some school groups and you could hear them ask questions and being just fascinated with some of the notions. I love to see kids in awe.
Then, I only had time for a coffee and lunch, and then to Barcelona again.
In the end I had a great time and, more importantly, I did it. I spent three days on my own, having a good time, not feeling lonely, or bored, or anxious. Now I know I can, and that's just marvelous.
