It's the end of the world as we know it

Ok, maybe it's not the end of the world, but it's really windy.

And I don't like wind at all. Not this kind of wind that teard trees from its roots and makes things fall from balconies and rooftops at least. So I've stayed home all day, because I don't like wind and because I couldn't sleep last night at all. It knocked on my windows all night long and opened some of them from time to time, making me wake up to close them again and secure them. Once and again. My bathroom window is full of tape right now, it was the only way of preventing it to be opened again.
Luckily, nothing of importance is broken (even if it constantly tear and/or broke everysingle cord we tried to use to prevent the shutters to blow away).

Near my folks home there has been a bit of mayhem due to some panels falling from the Telefónica building (luckily, noone got injured) and part of a water tank fell on my grandma's patio.

Unfortunately, not everybody has been as lucky as my family regarding things falling from above. Some people has died during the last 24 hours due to the strong wind, some kids amongst them. I really had never seen it blow like that in all my life. It was the scariest thing I've ever seen.

On a lighter note, it seems that some migratory birds were caught by the storm and decided to stop while it ended in the vicinity of my house. They were quite a few, and very beautiful. Pitty I don't know a thing about birds. It could have been nice to know which family they were from.

Also, trying not to sleep all afternoon, I've painted this:

Now let's hope wheather people are right and this windy storm finishes tonght for good.
